i've set up my email filters now to remove the words 'christmas' & 'sale'

When I was a teenager/in my early twenties and still living at home with no bills to pay and money to waste, I was one of those sales nutters who queued outside the Metro Centre at 5am on Boxing Day morning just to rush in grab that 1/2 price leather jacket that would just hang in my wardrobe with the tags left on until next Christmas!! Now that I have bills and kids, those sales days are over. Boxing day for me is spent with my feet up chilling in front of the tv with a bottle of rose wine whilst the kids play happily with their new toys!

I left the curtains open after it went dark hoping to see some snow but I had to give up.
