Bergans will give away a present every day until Christmas Eve. All you have to do is guess which product is behind the door that day. If you guess correctly, you will be included in the draw of many surprises, big and small, throughout Advent.
The Christmas calendar competition is launched on December 1 at 12 midnight and ends on December 24 at 12 midnight. The winner will be announced before 12 noon on the following day.
In order to win, you must guess correctly which product is hiding behind the current day’s window. You can only give one answer per riddle. We will draw one winner every day.
We will contact the winners by telephone and/or e-mail. The prize lapses if you do not reply to our inquiry by January 1, 2015.

Day 1.
To days answer I think is the Storen Jacket. My reasoning is the mountain which is the third largest and was climbed by William Slingsby is Store Skagastolstind, or Storen for short. The Storen jacket also comes under the William Slingsby special edition clothing. There is a Storen trousers to match, so it could be both, I went with jacket because I reckoned it probably had more technical properties that they mention in the clue than the trousers but maybe the prize is a set, you decide !0 -

Behind the first window we have placed one of our 'biggest' products, not in terms of size, but in terms of functions and technical properties. The current product took its name from Norway's third highest mountain, which was first conquered by William C. Slingsby in 1876. Today's product has been given the mountain's 'pet name'.
Mountain is Store Skagastølstinden known as Storen
Answer from HERE = Storen Jacket0 -
It actually closes at 11pm - midnight Oslo timeWon a holiday every year since 2014......come on 2021!!
2020 Winnings Value £37500 -

The product hiding behind the second window boasts a very high level of insulation and low weight. The product name is taken from a mountain range located in Jotunheimen in Lom municipality. There is also a valley containing the first part of this charming name.
I'm not 100% sure on this one, but there is a Glittertind mountain in the Jotunheimen range in Lom municipality, and a river Glitra nearby. Bergans have a low weight/high insulation Glittertind Jacket.
My answer from HERE = Glittertind Jacket
Sorry Folks, See Next 2 Posts0 -
Well I took practically half the night but have come to the conclusion that the answer is not Glittertind but the Memurutind Down Jacket. The clue says "The product name is taken from a mountain range located in Jotunheimen in Lom municipality. There is also a valley containing the first part of this charming name.."
1. Glittertind is not a mountain range but an individual mountain whereas Memurutind Massif is. Store Memurutinden is one of the mountains there.
2. I have definitely found that Memurutind is in Lom principality but couldn't find Glittertind for definite.
3. I could not find a Glittertind valley but there is a Memurutind
valley ie Memurutind dahlen
4. The Memurutind Jacket is insulated whereas the Glittertind one does not come under the insulated jackets and the clue does specify insulation.
I spent a long time cross checking facts (largely due to my stubborn nature) and am personally convinced this is the right answer but you have two different opinions given here so please make your own mind up.0 -
Great work MontysMum22, both are possible but the Memurutind fits the clues better, especially the insulation part. Based on previous years of this competition we will find about 2-3 through the month where the answer is not certain. Previous years comps are often a good reference as some of the clues will be the same or very similar. See 2011 2012 2013 competitions.

Behind today's window is a product that fits perfectly and is named after Norway's first national park. The product is available in different sizes. Today we will be giving away the smallest size.
The first National Park is Rondane
Bergans do a series of Rondane Rucksacks and 3 sizes of Rondane Tent. Based on the "fits perfectly" part of the clue and the description of the Rucksack as "a training and competition pack that fits your back like a glove under all conditions".....
My answer from HERE = Rondane 6L Rucksack0 -

A famous Norwegian folk song urges people “not to sleep away the summer nights”. Well, you won't with today's product as it is made for the other three seasons of the year. The product is named after an island in North Norway with almost 8,000 inhabitants.
Senja Island is in northern Norway and the population was 7722 in 2009.
Bergans have Senja jackets and a range of Senja Sleeping bags. The 3-season bags are for Spring/Summer/Autumn so it is the Winter Variety that fits the clue.
My answer from HERE = Senja Ice Sleeping Bag0 -
One eye thanks for providing Senja Island.
However, I think the answer may be : Senja Snow sleeping bag.
Sorry can't provide link as new user, but just below WINTER in your link is 3 SEASONS. If you click on this it expands to RONDANE then SENJA SNOW. Hope that makes sense.0
