What's your comping routine?

I know everyone does it differently ... What's yours?
I always enter on an evening when the kids are in bed ... Usually between 8-10pm
I use the main board thread title change button to put the dates in order then go to the page with comps ending the following day
I don't tend to enter rc comps, but if there is one that takes my fancy I will. I don't enter fb like share , but will if its a simple comment or app.
I enter twitter because they are fast and easy to do.
I don't like to enter comps that what to know everything address dob married single divorced ... Why do they ask?
I will then have a look in the daily thread and enter about 3 from there that have taken my fancy ... Oh And Dorset cereal.
(I haven't yet taken a look through all the other links in the regular competitions thread)
If I get chance in the day I will have a look at the main board if anything has been added that ends that day.
So that's mine .... What's yours?

I'm a bit like you "with a little bit of luck" I mainly do them in the evening once the kids are in bed and I'm just watching TV as I haven't got the chance any other time as I work full time and wouldn't jeopardise time with the kids to do competitions.
If I haven't done any comps in about a week I will do the ones ending soonest, but if I have been quite busy with the comps I will do the newest posts first as I tend to find it wastes time trawling through the ones I have already entered.
I never do daily ones (maybe I should), I hardly do twitter or facebook.
I have just posted a thread about more filtering for the comps as I think that we could enter more if we had more options to filter - like not bringing up the comps that you have already entered (optional of course).Biggest win this year - £500 of Selfridges vouchers0 -
I go straight to main board and do new comps, leaving out Twitter comps unless they end soon (I've heard it's best to Tweet close to the closing time, as sometimes they don't draw properly and later entries have a better chance of coming up).
Once new comps are done, I'll do mag dailies, CTWs if I have time, then around 3-4pm I'll end-date for that day, to pick up Twitter entries and other ones I might have missed.
I only really comp on weekdays, so I spend more time Mon and Tues catching up with new posted comps. All seems to work okay for me0 -
Thank you all
.... I have always entered the way I do since I started last year, I thought it would be a good idea to get an insight how fellow compers do it.
I was thinking of starting to just go through the main board as they are posted and then go to end date the day before just incase I've missed any or the twitter ones as MillyVanilli's heads up suggests0 -
Click to win (go straight to the site)
Mag dailies (again straight to the site, not through MSE)
Other dailies I have bookmarked
Check for any new dailies
I am working my way through the board backwards. I dont always have time to look at these though, but as long as I get my dailies done Im fine.
Never do Twitter, Rafflecopters/gleam, like & shares.
Ive only just started doing this again after a year or so break. The advents Im going to pick up after dailies I think. Just need to create bookmarks for them all now (have purposely kept Sunday free for this reason)Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday
Best Wins: Ipad, Nintendo 3DS, £400 Shopping Spree at LK Bennett, £100 Boots vouchers
Total Wins (Since April 2012) £3442.56
Big thanks to all who post comps :T:beer:0 -
I tend to change what I do from time to time, to shake things up a bit. Sometimes I will do rafflecopters for a few months, then I get fed up of those if I don't win anything, so I drop them and do Twitter comps on my phone, straight from Twitter, sometimes I do a few click to wins, sometimes I do loads of them. Last year I did a lot of adverts, this year I am only going to do a handful. The only thing I have entered pretty consistently over the last two years have been the mag dailies.0

do whats been posted on the board since i came on last
do my list of favourited dailies
do my list of favourited mag dailies
do admin on Rafflecopter daily thread [tho i totally forgot about it for past 3 days! lol thank god it isnt a popular one!]
i only comp in front of the telly which i half watch0 -
My routine is pretty strict now i have worked out how to do things the easiest way for myself
1. main board
2. go through bookmarked dailies (takes 15- 20 mins)
3. go through bookmarked mag dailies (15-30 mins depending how on the ball i am lol)
4. go through bookmarked c2w (i folder up by prizes so i can just do the most wanted prizes if i want to so takes 30 mins)
5. Go back to main board
I don't really do rafflecopters much now unless there is something i really want.
Although I'm not sure how it will pan out once advents start... i have never done them before so we shall see how it goes :rotfl:You never learn anything by doing it right
A very special thank you to everyone that posts :heartpuls0 -
I come on between 3-4 in the afternoon after i've been home from work a while, i then do the dailies i have bookmarked - i then bookmark from the main page any comps i like the sound of, working from recent posted back to were i left off the last time i was on usually the day before - then if i have time i start entering all that i have bookmarked (having put them in date order)
If i am behind i usually grab 45mins before work in a morning too
Just to add from next week - advents- i will bookmark those that can be entered in the morning (eg those that change over themselves at midnight) and a separate bookmark for those that need to be entered in the afternoon and will try and get the morning ones done before work too
I don't do any magazine, twitter or rafflecopter comps and limited the facebook ones too
It seems to work well and i know if i am pushed for time i can just enter any that are finishing that day/next day and can catch up at a later date0 -
I'm still trying to find a routine for comps. I work full time and a single mum to 4 so i will do most of them after my daughters go bed because my sons are old enough to do there own thing. I can get quite a few of the main board done. When i get in from work around 3.30 (except wed and Thurs as daughters have cheerleading) i do the instant wins. Got to work out my time now with advents starting monday but I'm sure i will figure something out.
How do you put them in date order? I change mine to newest post first but I'm sure I'm missing out on the ones ending soon.
I also press the skip button once I've entered a comp so I don't enter againNew start.... positive vibes0
