Robinson Way won't give up!

A long story short, when I was a teenager and into my early twenties I messed up with a credit card and it ended up being defaulted. The account was put out to debt collection agencies and sold between themselves repeatedly.
Fast forward to today (I'm now 32) I have an excellent credit score on all my files these days, in the green and near the 900 mark with a couple of clear credit cards and a mortgage, all the usual (I've worked hard to repair my credit I might add and I've done my sentence of not having or being able to get any credit in years gone by) I consider myself in a good place financially.
Last night I got a phone call from Robinson Way chasing this ancient debt, the woman couldn't even tell me when the default date was only that the account was opened in 2000 and it was for £500 for an old Capital One card........I couldn't believe it, I even said "you do realise it's nearly 2015? and that this debt was on my credit file and then removed after it's 6 years?"
She said she would now start sending me letters asking for money again because the address they had was an old one and when I say old I mean about 4 houses ago. I find that funny because despite having an ancient address she has my new mobile number.
I mean really.....£500...........they really don't give up.

Do you have a specific question?
Debt collectors will chase any debt they think someone might be bullied into paying. Not unusual for them to try it on with debts as old as this.
Presumably you would think this would be statute barred and would reply accordingly?
