Cheap Plasma's on internet..

Hi there, I have just been through the same search if you look through my postings and was recommended this telly by mse expert. The PS42Q96HD is the currys/Dixons/pc world equivalent to the PS42Q97HDX to stop the price matching. (very small cosmetic difference)
I went into the store to view it and it was spanking gorgeous. I ordered mine this morning from currys for £660(delivered). This was the £720 online price minus £60 voucher code AW60AUG. Don’t forget the 3.5% quidco too.
I hope that helps you.
Cheers

Highly recommend Crampton & Moore a Scottish firm.
I just got a Samsung 42" PS42Q97HDX + 3 Year Warrranty for £748 plus a standard £30 delivery charge - it arrived within two days too.

Quoting myself here - just to re-emphasise that this price included a 3 year Domestic & General warranty. Whilst I could have gotten this TV (which is terrific) cheaper elsewhere, I could not have got a 3 year warranty included for anywhere near this price - for those thinking of buying from Dixons/Currys, price the option of a 3 year warranty with them and you will see what great value this was.

Totally agree with psybear. I was on a mega tight budget which I had already stretched and had to make do with just the telly.
Might be worth checking to see if empire direct do it as Ive read on here that there is sometimes discount codes and three years warranties thrown in for an extra £20 for joining their Edextra club or whatever its called.
I used a price bot of kelkoo and pricerunner and checked the price daily until I got the deal I wanted. They varied quite a bit each week with some retailetrs. Also Aj electronics seem to be getting good feedback on teh AV forums.
Hope this helps.

My neighbour bought a huge plasma from Play.com and got it delivered to NI. He loved it!
Make sure you buy it on a creditcard as this gives you free insurance -in case something goes wrong!
Good luck!Tengo que cambiar para seguir siendo la misma - I have to change to stay the same0 -

Why bother with a warranty if you have house insurance? Claiming for a broken TV doesn't even effect your premium in most cases.0 -

Well, there are a few reasons.
First, as you say, it does not always effect your premium. But 'not always' is not 'never'. And it will cause problems when looking for a renewal.
Second, it looks odd and I cant believe that this is possible: claiming something that has arrived in your house broken? Looks more like a breach of contract rather than a contents insurance issue to me.
Third, in case they do not/late deliver
Fourth, it gives you somewhere to claim your money back rather than chasing the seller.
Reasons enough, I believe. And hey, it is free.:jTengo que cambiar para seguir siendo la misma - I have to change to stay the same0 -

Check your insurance first before not taking out a guarantee to make sure it doesn't effect your premium. Also, what's the odds on having to use it? If you do, it won't cause any problems renewing your insurance.
No/late delivery or if the TV arrives damaged doesn't require a guarantee or insurance to sort out. This is between you and the seller.
It is just as easy/hard (depends how you look a it) to claim using your gaurantee or your contents insurance.
Each to their own but I wouldn't spend the extra money on something that might never be required or if their is an alternative.
The cheapest Samsung in question here with the 3 yr guarantee mentioned above is £778 delivered. It's possible to get it from Currys with no guarantee for £637 delvered. £141 difference here, doesn't look like the guarantee is free to me.0 -
Went for the curry's option....
Thanks for all the help guys0
