I am a relatively new compee but already I am receiving masses of spam mail on my competition dedicated email address. Could someone please explain....when you enter a comp to say win a £100 M & S voucher would this ever generate one of the spam messages like "you have been chosen with two other people in your area to be a possible winner bla bla". Or are they generated via your email address being passed on to other companies. I seem to get loads from "blightydeals, offerx, activeyou" and the like. Also if you win a comp would you usually be contacted via your address, email or via the face book page? Thanks.

firstly what comps are you entering? most of those on here should not generate spam. Also you do not have to tick the pass my details on boxes on the vast majority of comps

The vast majority of comps are from here and I am very grateful to all those people that put the details up! I do tend to tick the right boxes, maybe I will have to be more vigilant in future.Thanks.
