Prize Draw Terms & Conditions
By entering the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
This competition will run from 10 October 2014 to 14 November 2014
Valid entries will be pooled and winners will be randomly chosen from this pool. The winners will receive a DVD box set of the series.
Standard 1: Entries must be made on the @ŠKODAUK Twitter account by providing the correct answer to the question asked during the duration of the ‘Lewis’ programme. The competition will run on each of the following dates; 10th October, 17th October, 24th October, 31st October, 7th November, 14th November, and entries must be received by midnight the following Thursday after each episode has been broadcast. All entries must be submitted using the following hashtag #SKODAMystery.
Standard 2: Open to all United Kingdom residents over the age of 18 years. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries or entries made through agents, third parties, organised groups or any entry duplication method will not be accepted.
Standard 3: Offer not open to employees of Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited, their agents or contractors, Volkswagen Group brand retailers and anyone else connected with the promotion.
Prize 4: The prize that can be won is:
One DVD box-set of Series 7 of ITV’s ‘Lewis’.
There are 8 box-sets of series 7 to be given away per week.
Standard 5: The winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received and shall be notified on Twitter 6 days (the Thursday) after the original programme has aired. If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winner, the Promoter will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it sees fit without any liability to the winner for having done so.
Standard 6: Winning entrants may be required to produce valid photographic identification on request by the Promoter.
Standard 7: The Promoter’s decision is final.
Standard 8: In the event that the same entrant’s name is drawn for a second or third Prize, another entrant’s name will be drawn until a different entrant’s name is chosen.
Standard 9: The name of the winners and the prize won will be made available on receipt of a self-addressed pre-paid envelope received by the Promoter no later than 2 months after the closing date.
Standard 10: No responsibility is accepted for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed or damaged electronically or online during the promotion. Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or otherwise defective will be disqualified.
Standard 11: The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable.
Standard 12: There is no cash alternative.
Standard 13: The Promoter reserves its right (but is not obliged) to substitute any prize with a prize of equivalent value in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
Standard 14: The promoter reserves the right to alter, amend, foreclose or withdraw the promotion and/or terms and conditions of entry at any time and without prior notice
Standard 15: The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it believes not to be participating within the spirit of the promotion or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour. The Promoter reserves the right to use its discretion in all respects and to enforce any penalty or sanction it deems appropriate.
Standard 16: The Promoter reserves its right (but is not obliged) to substitute any Prize for a prize of equivalent or greater value in the event of circumstances that make this necessary.
Standard 18: The winner may be required to take part in non-paid publicity or advertising relating to the competition, which may include having their photograph taken for promotional or press purposes.
Standard 19: By entering the prize draw you agree that the Promoter reserves the right to feature the name, image and location of the prize winner and their guest in any future marketing materials, website publications, promotions and/or prize draws.
Standard 20: No purchase is necessary.
Standard 21: ITV is not responsible for the administration of the promotion.
Standard 22: The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed or rendered invalid due to incorrect participant data, lack of network coverage, system, software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its control.
Standard 23: Internet access is required
Standard 24: Entrants will also need to provide a valid email address and/or postal address (these details shall only be used to contact the winners and such information shall be destroyed by the Promoter after a reasonable period).
DPS 25: Your personal data will be held by Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited (trading as ŠKODA UK) and will be passed to ais London for the purpose of administering the prize draw. If at any time you wish to withdraw from the prize draw your request should be made in writing to the Promoter.
DPS 26: If there is a conflict in the terms conditions to this prize draw with any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of this draw, these conditions will apply.
DPS 27: Promoter: Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited (trading as SKODA UK) of Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes MK14 5AN.
DPS 28: Prize Provider: AIS Group Limited. Registered office: 60 St Martin's Lane, London, WC2N 4JS (trading as ais London). Your personal data will be passed to the Prize Provider for the purpose of administering the Prize.
DPS 29: Entrants have a right to request a copy of information which Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited holds about them. To do so, please write to the Legal Department, Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited, Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes, MK14 5AN. You will need to complete and send a fully completed Data Protection Subject Access Request, enclose the relevant ID and a cheque in the sum of £10 made payable to “Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited”.
Standard 30: The competition and these terms and conditions (including any non-contractual disputes or claims arising out of them) are subject to English law and any disputes or claims must be referred to the English courts.
