Globespan - what's going wrong?

I see another Globespan flight was delayed by a day. (Toronto-Belfast)
Less than a month ago a New York-Dublin flight was delayed by some 5 days.
I believe there's being a few other problems recently.
I think we're back to the "you get what you pay for" mantra.

They're overstretched. their own aircraft are covering an Air India contract at the expense of their own operation. Consequently they are relying heavily on subchartersTimmay!0

They are terrible. We paid for business seats to Florida for our honeymoon - we were really excited at having these lovely comfy sleeper seats with all the built in entertainment and such, but we ended up with our knees up against the seats in front, no foot rests, no entertainment and filthy conditions.
They offered us £50 compensation towards future flights and would not consider anything further. I have been meaning to get in touch with the telegraph to see if they would be interested in writing a bit more about it. Basically we paid £1500 for return flights which were barely up to the standard of a scheduled airline economy. You might say that the non-stop flight goes some way to make you feel better, unfortunately a change in aircraft meant we had to make a refuelling stop. Wrecked our first couple of days of marriage with creaky necks and tiredness.
I would not recommend them to anyone.2 + 2 = 4
except for the general public when it can mean whatever they want it to.0 -
I'm almost sure I've heard that story before. Was it on here, or On Your Behalf or somewhere?0

I did post on an old globespan thread a while back but I did not get any real response. I searched the net when it initially happened and there are quite a few complaints very similar to my own - it just seems that most do not come onto MSE!2 + 2 = 4

I posted on a flyglobespan thread in the Travel Boards a couple of times. Had a great flight with them in June to Florida. I wouldn't be paying for business class with them as apart from extra luggage allowance it didn't seem to be a great deal.
2 return flights for less than £500, made me happy as its only 9 hours out of my life and more money to spend on holiday.0 -

It SHOULD be a fantastic deal - they advertised something rather similar to business in a scheduled airline and that would have cost easily twice what we paid. The problem is that they do not always provide this service and the substituted service is definitely not worth the cost.2 + 2 = 4
