On website, there are packs of socks in the sale, bright colours, ranging from £2.99.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert: M&S currently has a range of men's socks starting from £2.99. Standard delivery is £3.50 or get it the next day for £3.99 if you order by 10pm.

Thanks so much Op my son is a size 12 and these are lovely - I'm making my teenagers a 'pot of gold' so the rainbow colours are perfect!

I collected these today and they are lovely - my husband has now retired and enjoys wearing brightly coloured socks.

I'm also doing a 'pot of gold' for my son and will be squashing the 'rainbow' coloured socks into his 'pot'!

Hello - I found the idea on here somewhere, a big thank you to the person! and thought it was lovely. Our teenagers both need money for christmas and I wanted to make/get them a few things for fun. Still looking for socks for sock monkeys where the pattern hasn't got a pile!

You get a pot of some sort, gold if you can (I bought halloween cauldrons from Poundland in Ashington and spray painted them gold). You then fill it with 'gold' things like werthers originals, ferrero roche, mcvities gold biscuits, and any other 'gold' things you can find. We have a shop called the original factory shop and I bought my daughter a gold duck lip gloss, gold eyeshadow, gold nailvarnish and a perfume called 'gold' bit more expensive at £6. Got my son a 'bering straits gold dvd' as well. To top it off you can put a scratch cards in if you want. My son loves those sour sweets so I've got him 'rainbow' strips and now I'll be padding the top of his with the rainbow socks.

Just a bit of fun - I've got gold tissue left over from something and was going to sellophane it and put a poem about the end of the rainbow on the tag.

You inspired me to google for it and I'm delighted to have found my daughter's last gift - she is studying english lit and theatre at leeds, and I've just found a play called Plutea - Pot of Gold! Cheers!

I have an unnecessary obsession with M&S socks, they are great for work and when they are £3.99 a pack you can't argue! Thank you for this!
