What he means is that Usc.co.uk is part of Sportsdirect.com Ltd. which is owned by a chap called Mike Ashley.

You might know Ashley as the owner of Newcastle United football club.
Sports Direct are infamous for labelling all their products with massive discounts. The labels with these reductions are often added to the products at the factories in the Far East where they are produced. As the reductions didn't exist in the first place then it follows that Sports Direct and USC rarely have a Sale and the reduced price showing on the labels is the real price.
Another highly misleading tactic that his brands use is to label products with up to (in small letters) 30% and 70% (in huge lettering) discounts which are rarely near those high points. See this BBC Watchdog investigation for details:

Yes, it's such a shame that after he bought those brands, the quality markedly declined and now they really aren't worth touching.
