Grand prize draw
Individuals can enter the grand prize draw by entering their details via Facebook.

1 winner who will be drawn at random from all eligible entries received will win £2,000 worth of train journeys booked through https://www.thetrainline.com, redeemable on UK rail travel within one year of the close of the competition. Credit will be issued in the form of a pre-paid digital MasterCard that will only be redeemable on https://www.thetrainline.com. The closing time for entries to the grand prize draw will be 11.59am on Monday 15 December 2014 and the winner will be drawn on that date.

Travel must be booked within 12 months of the close of the competition (i.e. by 15 December 2015), and must be booked through thetrainline.com. No change will be given from vouchers. Booking fees may apply and these can also be paid for by use of vouchers.

The winner will be notified by TheTrainline by email as soon as reasonably practicable, where correct information has been supplied upon entry. If no response is received from a winner within 28 days of being notified, a new winner will be drawn and the original winner's prize nullified.

An individual may only enter the grand prize draw once on their own account; however, an entrant to the grand prize draw will receive one additional entry for each other person who enters the draw following a click-through from a link which has been shared by the original entrant. Individuals who have entered the grand prize draw will receive an automatic email prompt to enter the weekly prize draw (described below) as well.

Entrants can enter the weekly prize draw by posting a photo of something the entrant is “Brilliant or Rubbish” at on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, along with the hashtag #wintrainstuff.

There will be 24 winners of ‘Brilliant’ and 24 winners of ‘Rubbish’ prizes across 12 weeks. 2 ‘Brilliant’ and 2 ‘Rubbish’ prize winners will be drawn at random every Monday at midday, with the first winner being drawn on Monday 29 September 2014. The final winners of the weekly prizes will be drawn on Monday 15 December 2014.

Winners of the “Brilliant or Rubbish” competition each week will be notified via Twitter, Facebook or Instagram (as applicable) as soon as practicable after the draw has been made. If no response is received from a winner within 28 days of being notified, a new winner will be drawn and the original winner's prize nullified.

“Brilliant” prizes include “16-25” and “Two Together” Railcards and Spotify Gift Cards, and “Rubbish” prizes include chocolate teapots, TheTrainline branded face cloths, USB pet rocks and ‘Handerpants’ gloves. Prizes will be allocated by TheTrainline at its sole discretion.

There is no limit on the number of entries which an individual may submit for each weekly prize draw and entries submitted at any time after the opening date will be entered into each subsequent weekly draw. Entrants to the weekly prize draw will receive an automatic prompt to enter the grand prize draw as well.
