I might be premature with this but any advice would be appreciated!

Anybody any idea where best to pre-order the upcoming Unity and Rogue? Any decent deals anybody has come across/previous good sites that are reasonably cheap?

I'd expect the prices to come down a bit from some of the retailers closer to release. Simplygames are great for delivery, quite often it arrives early with them. I'd check to see what the foreign xbox/ps4 online marketplaces are like as they are often cheaper.

Hong Kong and India seem to have the best prices, just check the price on a site like xe.com to see what the exchange would be.

If you've pre-ordered rather than pre-purchasing, it might be a good idea to cancel ASAP and pick it up in a few weeks when it's cheaper. The impressions and reviews aren't particularly favourable (although it's apparently not a bad game), and the performance issues are very, very apparent - and these are always ignored in reviews, for some reason.

So for AC:Unity (More of the same! But now at 900P! At ~20FPS!) at least, wait for a sale. (On PC it's a Nvidia bundle game, so you should be able to pick it up for a tenner with some patience, or £20 with ease.)

Edit: it was curious to see the Xbone version outperforming the PS4 version, but that's more of a technical discussion than a gaming discussion.

If you have pre-ordered digitally then it is worth having a check to see if it is running already. Mine was from either India or Hong Kong and it has unlocked already. Only played about half an hour but it looks lovely so far, combat and free running has changed so will take a little getting used to. I've had a little slow down so far, but will be playing it today and should get a better look at it. (this is on xbox one)

I could be wrong here but haven't people been banned from xbox live for playing games early?

Nope, not as far as I'm aware. Perhaps if it was a pirate copy however it has been released in the US already, hence why it has unlocked.


You often get games early from companies like SimplyGames and I've never had any issue with that either.

Actually, I have found Brazil/Latin America offers some of the cheapest titles now a days... I know that because my friends has a company selling game subscriptions, and Brazil is their place to go for cheap deals
