Set in 17 acres in the Wye Valley, it has elegant, understated decor, and the walls are hung with an exceptional collection of 19th-and early-20th-century art. Thanks, weeowens, for posting the Where Was I comp and your answers. I'm on holiday in Greece for a couple of weeks. Internet connection has been rather sporadic and posting using an older Kindle is a bit of faff! I'd have said the island is Mainland (Birsay is only part of it) and the lighthouse, located on Carlin Skerry, appears to be referred to as Barrel of Butter.
