What was everyone's first win and when?

Hi everyone,

Been comping for a few weeks and not won anything yet

I'd be interested to hear everyone's first prize and how long it took to win it.

How many competitions do you's enter daily?

A few wins over the years but the first that really got me into comping regularly was a signed Lance Armstrong cycling jersey, luckily I sold it before he got stripped of his TDF titles...

2012 I won a laptop from a fb competition, within a month or so of starting to enter competitions.

Still the best thing I've won & I love it.

I don't think there's a formula to winning or how long it takes, just luck.

Hi,

I've been entering comps for around 5 years on and off. When I first started it took me nearly two years before I won anything!

My first win was a Hobgoblin pint glass! Haha, I was so proud of it. I never received an email or letter about it, it just showed up one day and I knew it was because of my crazy comping!

Even though I didn't win anything for years I still entered because I like doing this as a hobby and what might come out of it!

My first ever prize was a 60 inch 3D smart tv from sharpe - needless to say I've been hooked ever since!!!


I won it on twitter at the end of May which is about a month after I started comping

My first win, non-MSE, was £50 from a magazine, after entering their competitions every week for six years!

Early last year, I was using a different competitions site, unaware of this (far superior! ) forum and won football tickets after six months.

I joined MSE in December and after three months I won a cookware set.

As for how many competitions I enter daily...well, taking into account ones on this forum, all the daily competitions from magazine sites and their click-to-win pages, it's well over 100 entries per day.
