Got the payslips over to the broker today, which they've confirmed. She said they'll get it re-offered and the funds released for Tuesday completion. So now we've got to wait!Thrugelmir wrote: »So what did they do?0

No changes at all for either of us, we both own our cars out right. We already had a baby which they knew about and we're still "living with parents"Has anything changed since the offer was issued?
This sounds like there has been a "material change" which is why Halifax have asked for upto date payslips, if this was the case, your broker should have been on top of this.0 -

This is your solicitors fault0

Because he should have chased the lender up to the 2 days before completion demanding the funds. He/she didn't and you were left high and dry on completion day.
If those funds weren't available 48 hours before he should have asked why and made you aware of the situation.
You have grounds for complaint.0 -
Oh right, they seem to indicate it was Halifax's fault?0

Yeah, Halifax hold the Money but it was the Solicitors job to get it in place for the day of completion.
It sounds like it was left to the last minute or forgot to request sooner. Either way this could have been avoided.
As someone who is going through the same process I'm gutted for you. Hopefully it can get all sorted for you early next week.0 -

The solicitors I'm referring to. Even if the funds had arrived today at the solicitors may have been too late to effect completion. As there are deadlines for same day money transfers.0
