1. This promotion is only open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 16 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, their agents or anyone professionally associated with this promotion.
2. Promotion Period: Entries are accepted between 13:00 on 30th July 2014 and 08:59 on 18th August 2014. 4. No purchase is necessary; however internet access is required.
5. Multiple entries will be accepted throughout the promotion period.
6. Maximum one Weekly Prize per person throughout the Promotion Period.
7. Prizes
   • a. Weekly Prizes (draw periods 1-3): for each Weekly Draw Period, seven x winners selected from all valid entries received within that Weekly Draw Period will win 1 x 'Chicken Cheque' which can be redeemed at participating KFC restaurants and franchises before the 31st December 2014 for 1 x Chicken Fillet or Zinger meal (21 winners in total). Only original Chicken Cheques issued by Kentucky Fried Chicken (Great Britain) Limited will be accepted. No unauthorized printing or duplication of 'Chicken Cheques' is permitted. KFC and participating franchisees reserve the right to refuse any 'Chicken Cheques' in their sole discretion.
   • b. Main Prize: (Draw Period 4) one x winner selected from all valid entries received during the entire promotion period will win 1 x 7 day trip to Houston Texas for two provided by travel organisers (the 'Main Prize Supplier') nominated by the Promoter people on the 19th to the 26th of September 2014. The prize includes
     1. return economy flights from London Heathrow to Houston, Texas, (See clause 11 for further details) 2. 7 nights' accommodation in a luxury hotel (at least 4*), daily breakfast, 3. an authentic Texan BBQ meal, 4. entrance to the Houston Space Centre, 5. 2x tickets to a Houston Astros baseball game and 6. either entrance to a comedy night or a concert to be confirmed by the promoter at a later date.
8. Moderation: Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any postcard entries that it feels are rude, insulting, inappropriate, racist or otherwise offensive.
9. Winner Selection: All valid and completed entries received during the Promotion Period will be submitted into the relevant prize draw and selected at random under the supervision of PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service within 2 working days of the close of each Draw Period.
10. Winner notification: The winners will be notified by email or telephone within 24 hours of the draw using the data provided at time of entry. Prize winners have 14 days to respond to initial notification confirming they wish to claim the prize, failure to comply with this timeframe may result in disqualification of that winner and the prize being awarded to a reserve winner selected in the same manner.
11. Further Details for the Holiday Prize:
    • a. In the event that the Main Prize is awarded to an entrant over 16 but under 18, the Main Prize will only be awarded upon receipt of written parental or legal guardian consent, and the winner must be accompanied on the holiday by a parent or legal guardian.
    • b. For all other winners, the winner and guest must be 18 years.
    • c. The Guest does not have to be the person named on the postcard.
    • d. The winner and their guest may be required to provide proof of age and identity and any documentation as reasonably required to validate their eligibility to claim the prize (for example, proof of country of residence);
    • e. The winner will be responsible for the behavior of themselves and their guest when participating in the Main Prize and shall comply with any event/venue terms and conditions that form part of the Main Prize;
    • f. It is the responsibility of the winner to inform the Promoter of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the winner and/or their guest when taking up the Main Prize and to adhere to any health and safety guidelines
    • g. Any complaints or shortcomings on the part of the tour organizer(s) will be a matter between the winner and the Main Prize Supplier and no liability will be accepted by the Promoter.Conditions of Travel
    • h. Airline seats are subject to availability;
    • i. The winner and their guests must travel together in both directions;
    • j. Tickets are non-refundable or non-transferable;
    • k. All applicable airline taxes, fees, charges and surcharges shall be paid by the Promoter;
    • l. The winner and their guest must abide by and are subject to the Airline's published Conditions of Carriage;
    • m. Once tickets have been issued, they are only valid for the flights, dates and times shown;
    • n. If a booking is cancelled, no alternative tickets will be issued;
    • o. Lounge passes and upgrades are not permitted;
    • p. The winner and their guest will require a passport which is valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas or travel insurance are the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest;
    • q. Travel insurance is not included, but is mandatory and must be in place for both the winner and their guest at time of departure.
    • r. Transfers to and from the departure airport or in Houston are not included;
    • s. Travel dates and traveler names cannot be changed once travel has been booked;
    • t. Flight extras are not included in the Main Prize (flight extras include, but are not limited to, on-board meals and drinks); and
    • u. Any costs or expenses not expressly included in the Main Prize pursuant to these Terms and Conditions including without limitation, travel to and from airports, excess baggage, car parking charges, excursions, attractions will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest.Hotel Conditions
    • v. The Promoter will pay the cost of one standard double or twin room plus related room taxes;
    • w. The winner is solely responsible for any additional charges incurred at the hotel during their stay, including, without limitation, costs of meals, drinks, additional nights and services together with related taxes; and
    • x. A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into the hotel, which is the sole responsibility of the winner.
12. Please allow 28 days for delivery or arrangement of the prizes.
13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, network failure or delay.
14. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable to any prize winner for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize (including without limitation as a result of technical fault, computer or electronic malfunction, or incomplete, illegible, lost or fraudulent entries).
15. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions exclude the Promoter's liability for:
    • a. death or personal injury caused by its negligence; or
    • b. fraud; or
    • c. any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
16. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter hereby excludes all other warranties, representations, conditions and terms, whether express or implied, written or oral.
17. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. In the event for any reason a prize winner does not take any element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize.
18. If due to unforeseen circumstances any aspect of the prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute that part of the prize, in its sole discretion, for an equivalent of equal or higher value.
19. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries (this includes, without limitation, by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion).
20. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, the entry will be discarded and a new winner of the prize will be determined by the Promoter.
21. In all aspects of this promotion, the Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the promotion.
22. The Promoter reserves the right to publish the names and counties of residence of the winners. As a condition of accepting the prize, winners may be required, at the Promoter's request, to participate in any reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prizes, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their names and images in promotional material, including that with third parties.
23. The names and counties of the winners will be published on the https://www.facebook.com/KFC.uk site for a period of one month after the relevant closing draw date.
24. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. Incomplete or illegible entries, entries by macros or other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified and will not be counted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of 'script', 'brute force', masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant's entries into the draw in a way that is not consistent with the spirit of the promotion, that person's entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.
25. The Promoter will use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent. See our privacy policy at www.kfc.co.uk/privacy-policy. Participants should familiarise themselves with this Privacy Policy and check it regularly so that they are always informed of the latest version.
26. The participants agree to waive any right they may have to receive specific notice of such amendments to the Terms and Conditions.
27. By entering this promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.
28. This Promotion will be governed by laws of England and the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
