Bug in Tesco's ordering system?

For my online Tesco grocery order placed Tuesday (05/08/14) and received this morning, I noticed that some (but not all) eCoupons displayed during the checkout procedure were being accepted for money off my order even when those products were not in my order. For example, I got £1 off for dishwasher tablets, £0.50 off for kitchen foil, £0.40 off for beer, £1.15 off for PG Tips, none of which was in my order. In all I reckon I saved about £5. There must be a bug in Tesco's ordering system.

As far as I know that is a universal feature of all supermarkets off- and on-line. The systems rely on the honesty of customers or the diligence of clerks.

wow normally it says ecoupon cannot be used as you dont qualify or something similar or sometimes it doesnt even highlight so you can use it unless youve added the item --so you did well it was just a glitch well done.

I have noticed this a few times recently as well, its really odd. I have also been finding that some of my coupons don't work when I have bought the product, its probably getting its own back!:p

I have found that some of my e-coupons becomes valid even if I haven't bought enough of the item to qualify?

I also got excited this week when I received an e-mail telling me I hadn't spent an e-voucher I had received (I had but the order was cancelled so they sent me new codes). It doesn't work though.
