I've been semi good today and done half the jobs I had set out for myself. Figured the rest can keep til tomorrow. Sensibly as the weather held, I got the garden work done - so even if it's wet tomorrow, it won't matter to me

Well done on getting the garden jobs done :T

Evening.
Feeling distinctly unsettled this evening but can't put my finger on why. Hoping the feeling passes.
(I seem to recall this has happened before.....:o .)
Small OP made today of £3
Survey payment of £15 Amazing
vouchers also received
Arrived home to an easy tea at least as I slung a load of veg, seasoning and stock into the slow cooker before work. Tasty veggie stew = result

Hi, I've just popped in for a read and subscribed. I'm loving the small payments here and there as its something i love doing, then i make a nice list on the 1st of each month to say where they all come from!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Hi bookworm, hope the uneasy feeling has passed. You seemed to have a positive day financially. I've never thought of just doing veggie stew so might give that a go as none of us are keen on stewing meat.Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0

Love a good veggie stew, even better if you bung in a few dumplings towards the end

Thanks for much for stopping by shangaijimmy
I hope that my ramblings won't be too dull for you.
I find the little payments help to keep me motivated between paydays.Hi bookworm, hope the uneasy feeling has passed. You seemed to have a positive day financially. I've never thought of just doing veggie stew so might give that a go as none of us are keen on stewing meat.
It's getting there Cath
thanks.
The stew was a bit of a random test effort so I'm happily surprised that it turned out ok. I've never done a none meat one before but I didn't have any defrosted and wanted to use up the various veggies.. so thought I'd give it a whirl.edinburgher wrote: »Love a good veggie stew, even better if you bung in a few dumplings towards the end
Oooh Mr E - that sounds lovely. Do you happen to have or know of a good dumpling recipe? I've never made them

It's been a lovely afternoon in my corner of the world... just a shame that I was at work  It did however make the weekly supermarket jaunt a tad more enjoyable this evening though.
No money or survey news today.
I spent some time during my lunch break compiling a list of forthcoming birthdays, weddings and other events for which I need to get cards and/or pressies for over the next few weeks... turned out there was 8  I need to get behind in gear too as some of them co-incide with a cheeky holiday that I might be having next month
so will need to sort and deliver them beforehand. 0 -
I don't know if they're good, but this is *easy*
- 200g self raising flour
- Pinch salt
- 115g vegetable suet
- 2 tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
- 125ml milk
Sift together flour and salt, mix in other dry ingredients, add a little milk at a time until the dumplings stick together. Add them to your stew/dish for about 20-25 mins. Works best with stove top stews, but ok in oven/PC if you leave them for a wee bit longer.0 -
Hi MG- looks like we cross posted
Well done you for the workout... I'm not so good on that front
