Not much that I could see in todays statement that will prevent the tipping point being reached and, well tipped.

Apart from removing the artificial block on prices at stamp duty thresholds?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Do you know the story of the little boy that cried wolf?
  • It does look like the effects of all the recent schemes are wearing off. Osbourne is having one last throw of the dice before the election with his stamp duty cut which while may be good for most homebuyers isn't going to be good for an already struggling tax coffers.

There's no pleasing you, is there, shortbrained?
For years you've been harping on here about affordability, and when the current government actually takes measures to slash stamp duty significantly on low to medium priced homes, you're now worried about the tax coffers. :rotfl:
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.
  • now that the foreigners have run away and the bank of mummy and daddy is no longer writing blank cheques hes turned to those at the bottom of the pile to keep it limping along until ballsy takes over

Do you think its really a massive help to the cheaper end of the market? The biggest benefitters are people buying and selling houses of £250k to around a million.
Don't you think that EA's will just now put prices up as the old threshold barriers are gone.

Not really, did he grow up to be an Estate Agent? The one about the little boy with his finger in the Dam is much more appropriate to the times we are living in.
