Terms & Conditions:

1. Promotion open to UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Thorntons PLC, their families, agents and anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
2. Enter via local Thorntons store by filling in your details on the designated competition form or through thorntons.co.uk/win. Not valid in supermarkets.
3. Only one entry per person.
4. No purchase necessary.
5. Prize contains 1 x hamper of Thorntons products worth the value of £50 at RRP. Specific Thorntons products contained with the hamper cannot be chosen by winner.
6. A £50 hamper prize will be drawn once per calendar month in 2014 and the winner shall be notified by email or phone by the end of each calendar month. 12 winners shall be drawn in total. Promotion closes 31st December 2014.
7. Responsibility is not accepted for any lost, damaged or delayed entries as a result of a network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
8. No entries accepted from agents, third parties, organised groups or generated automatically from a computer.
9. The first entry drawn by an independent adjudicator from all valid entries will receive the prize. No runner up prizes apply. The winner must respond stating a full address to validate their prize otherwise an alternative winner shall be selected or prize will be forfeited, in accordance with the promotion rules.
10. The winner may be required to participate in publicity resulting from the promotion.
11. For the winners details (names and countries only) , please send a stamped address envelope to Thorntons PLC, Thorton Park, Somercotes, Alfreton, DE55 4XJ.
12. Thorntons reserves the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable due to unforeseeable circumstances.
13. Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. No cash alternative apply.
14. By entering the promotion all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
15. All decisions made by Thorntons PLC will be final and binding. No correspondence shall be entered into.

I emailed them as I've been unable to enter either logged in or logged out & they told me I need to enter 5 different people & events before my entry will be accepted however I've tried that & I'm still getting the same message so I'll let them know again

UPDATE - Thorntons have telephoned me & tried to enter for me but they get the same error message so they've passed it over to their Website team who are going to look into it, they will then try to enter on my behalf after they've looked into it to make sure it's working & will phone me to confirm so I'll update again at that point
