YOUR HORSE
For some the dream of owning a horse never becomes a reality, as the expense of this life-changing purchase can be just too much to manage, or something always gets in the way. That’s why we’ve teamed up with a selection of incredible sponsors to enable one lucky winner to finally realise their horse-owning dream!
Win this competition and we’ll help you buy your perfect partner to the value of £5000 (paid for by Your Horse magazine) and give you all the support you’ll need to get off to the best start with your new steed. Of course we won’t be giving away this fabulous prize by simply picking a name out of a hat… here’s how it’s going to work:
Step 1 Fill out a short, multiple-choice questionnaire with 10 questions to test your knowledge - you’ll need to answer all 10 correctly to move on to the next step.
Step 2 If successful you will be asked to complete a further questionnaire to help us understand why you want to win and how you’ll care for a new horse.
Step 3 A shortlist of 8 will be invited to Summerhouse Equestrian Centre in Gloucester on Friday, 12 December for an assessment day. You’ll be asked to show off your riding abilities on the centre’s schoolmasters, be put to the test on your horse care knowledge and practical stable management skills.
Step 4 3 finalists will be selected and the judges will visit the place where the horse will be kept and talk with each finalist about how having a horse will affect their life. The winner will then be announced and the search for their perfect horse will begin. They’ll have all the support of the Your Horse experts to ensure they make the right choice and everything they need to have the best start.
