'Family' holiday/flight/trips competitions

OK, so I'm just wondering what you know/reckon about comps that are giving away family holidays ie those for adults and kids.
If the Ts&Cs don't explicitly state that the full prize has to be used, can you enter, win (keep dreamin'!!) and then just adults go? Or does the entire prize end up being forfeited?
I ask as I don't have kids, and don't much fancy getting done for kidnapping, so don't know if it's worth entering these types of comps or not. Do any of you have any experience with this (the comps thing, not the kidnapping)?

After reading the thread, and those linked within in it, that Biker*Chick linked to, I'm going to carry on checking Ts&Cs, and continue to avoid any 'family' comps on parenting sites or those that have an obvious kiddie portion to the activities in the prize.0
