What happens when probation isn't passed

I'm looking at extended probation, my Team Leader has been heavily trying to sell me the 1 weeks easy out notice as he can't cope with me
Anyway if we agree what happens to references and the like, I'm somewhat genuinely puzzled what happens in these situations as not sure you can be deemed as leaving on a good note? (had this question come up in a recent interview quite direct so it got me thinking)
Been in the role 3 months and my supervisor wants to say I haven't settled in whilst I feel terrible aiding and abetting lies but feel it maybe easier to play along for a quiet life just for a change as much as I would want to defend, I've no experience of a failed probation whilst remaining working

Not sure why he's bothering with all that when he could just give you the push without any reason. Do you want to leave?0

I think 'Joe Bloggs hasn't settled in' is better than saying 'Joe Blogs doesn't fit in and we don't want them working here any longer'.
Why would you be aiding and abeting lies?
Most places, you fail probation, you leave. End of story.

It isn't his decision to make solely, it goes to senior management, although has a say and this is a T/L who themselves haven't passed probation..
Yeah I thought of leaving but the job is convenient right now in gaining time and why should I, I've haven't had the panic attacks at this place, I'm not happy with certain elements I've reached a place where it's got to the point of do I don't I say anything
I find it hilarious, guess it comes down to which way the wind is blowing on the day as I thought if I was that bad I wouldn't still be sitting there, yeah I'm just being stupid!
I quite enjoy being there but easily wound up by the T/L so this is hard0 -

Yeah get your point, I'm just upset worked every day even when I had an MRI scan, never called in sick, worked overtime and more, unlike those that manage me
No training plan to prove anything was shown to me, I started work 10 minutes after walking in on my first day and coped with 20 minutes of product training
How can this possibly not be settled in?
Do I fight? would you?
Though I do work in one of them places where every day is different!0 -
Oh well, here is an update I've calmed down took about 48 hours later, finally got chatting again with the team leader and in response to my original fear have told the T/L not to commit purjury on my behalf, that I'll be asking for an extended probation unless any different happens of course, I think that is for the best0

Perjury? Who's going to court? Have I missed something?0

I've missed the point of the whole thread.
The OP's posts just seem jumbled so I'm a little confused.0 -
Ultimately they can still ask you to leave, so it's better to leave with a reference of "couldn't settle" rather than "we couldn't cope with keepcalm as an employee" - so if they don't extend your probation be prepared to accept the white lie.
If saying 'you haven't settled in' would be a lie, what is the actual reason he would like you to leave?
You say he "can't cope" with you - why? What do you do?
If it's something that can be worked on - for example you need further training - I think it's reasonable to ask for an extended probation period so that can be put in place, but don't bank on it. There's obviously more to this than the T/L just wanting you to leave, there must be an actual reason.0
