One of the top stories on the main national BBC page today (and rightly so) a great piece of publicity for a city that has spent so much time and effort correcting it's international image :(

I think we need to return to the days of vermin control to rid our wee country of this recognised scum
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

Definitely Unionists, they can't be trusted.
  • You sure?. If it was in a Coffee Jar, it could certainly have come from the shops !!

I'm guessing it's not at all coincidental that there were a number of security alerts yesterday (and then this), on the same day as the appeal of those convicted for the Stephen Carroll murder was turned down.

I'm just surprised the railway line wasn't closed at Lurgan.

Not really. A wise man listens to criticism, and if there is substance acts on it.

If unionism was a product, or brand, it could be said to repel many who may otherwise support. It seems to have to continually appeal to its core support; the brand loyalists who may drift to a stronger flavour.

Was walking through White City the other day, and like many other Unionist places it has a palpable feeling of decline. There appears to be little activity, little to recommend it. Imagine living there and you start to get a feeling for the apparent nihilist attitudes. Why things that many of us consider trivial become important. Any wonder that children from such areas do poorly at school? Where are the positive visions, the constructive leadership?
