It's been a year today

Hello ,
I couldn't let today go by without saying it's been a year today for me
I had a quite stressful time personally my DM passed away and the day after loosing mum I became a nana .
I know I wouldn't have got the courage to take the BR had it not been for my virtual friends on here .
Bless you all.
So, now what do I do ?
Do I apply to the courts or do I wait the years for it to drop off ? Any advice would be wonderful.
I'm such a different person now , I value simple contented things and whilst I'll never forget what led me to the point I was at , I'm looking to a brighter future
Thank you all again , especially wishes

wow thats gone quick, great news its such a relief!
If you go on the insolvency service website and find your name click on your surname and it show you as discharged, print of a few copies in case you need them as it is only there for 3 months.
Give it a couple of months then start to clean up your credit files using the information in the sticky.
I belief you can an official certificate from the court...at a cost, I also asked my trustee to send me a letter to confirm.
Good luck in the future xx

Hiya WWDIT, congratulations on your AD

Congrats.jpg

This is what I would do first. Obtain proof of your AD, see the following three options.

1.
If you can print off several copies from the insolvency service site showing your discharge status.

Search Insolvency Register - Click here

Don't forget to click on your surname to bring up full details. Your discharge status will remain on there for three months then disappear
or

2.
Email — > discharge.queries@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk and they will need

Your current and previous addresses
Date of Birth
National Insurance number
Bankruptcy Order number, from the Form 6.30. For example 210/2013 and the court you attended.

They will then supply in writing confirmation of discharge free of charge.
or

3.
you can pay £70 for the official certificate of discharge from the court where you went BR (in some cases depending if you are on benefits/low income you can have this for free as well).

-- >http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/personal-insolvency/discharge#Willthecourtchargemeforacertificate
Will the court charge me for a certificate of discharge?
The court will charge a fee of £70 for issuing a certificate of discharge. Further copies will cost £5 each.
If you write to the office that dealt with your bankruptcy they will provide a letter confirming your date of discharge. There is no charge for this.
Then with your letter/proof of AD and a copy of your Bankruptcy order (Form 6.30) you can send them to the CRA's when you do your credit file clean up in 2/3 months time (you can do this earlier but give the CRA's another chance to update your details after your AD). You will find companies report to one of the CRAs rather than all three, that's why it's suggested that you get your credit files from all three of the CRAs to see what's held on there and make sure that:

- The default date is on or before your BR date.
- The current balance is marked as settled/satisfied in some way.

They are £2 each for your paper/online Statutory Reports.

Experian - Click here

Equifax - Click here

Callcredit - Click here
NB: You can't order it online, they would rather you pay £12 don’t do that just print off the application form, P.O. for £2 and post this recorded delivery.

Best wishes
