'New jeans' thank you!

I read through lots of this board a few weeks ago and came across a thread on dying old faded jeans so they look new again (can't find it now). Another post elsewhere on the board this morning reminded me of it so I've spent the day dying jeans and they look AMAZING, as good as new!

So thanks all, that is 5 pairs of jeans back in use, including a blue pair that I didn't wear because I didn't like the colour, but are now jet black and perfect :T

That's what I did xMonsoonx, just wish I'd known about dying earlier, could have saved myself a fortune AND chosen better fitting jeans!

I dye jeans too with great success but have only tried the machine wash dye which is a bit prohibitive cost wise. Is the hand dye stuff any good and if so any tips?
    Many thanks

    Hi Swampmonster,

Can't help I'm afraid as this was my first time and I used a machine dye. Got it from Wilko and it was £4.99 for a big pack (had lots of jeans to do) but they had smaller 'hand dye' packs that were cheaper although I can't remember the exact cost.

    Sorry I can't help more

If you're using the hand dye use a bucket or as my Mum used to use an old soup pot! It worked brilliantly.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

    Thanks for the replies.

If your using hand dye how many pairs of jeans is it ok to do with one packet. I'm especially thinking in regard to dying faded black jeans back to black if that is any help.

    Thanks :j
