Statute barred debt?

Hello,

I'm sorry to be hijacking this thread but I was hoping for some advice.

I've been having to deal with continual chasing by debt companies pursuing alleged debt regarding a Nationwide account. I did have a Nationwide account between 2001 - 2007 but I believe that the building society allowed the account to rack up overdraft fees.

Keynes Collections has sent a Notice of Intended Legal Action (as an aside they dated the letter 7th April thought the letter arrived after the 10th).

I believe that this debt is statute barred, though I have heard worrying stories of debt agencies underhandedly making payments to accounts to keep debts active. I have not received any evidence of payment, written acknowledgment of any outstanding debt in the last 6 years or a copy of the signed credit agreement.

I have drafted a letter setting this out and quoting the Debt Collection Guidance.

Could I please get some advice as to what I should be doing to fight this?

Thanks.
