Solar Panels- anyone installed them?

Noticed that Saliis have been doing the rounds calling door to door offering to install solar panels for free. Seemingly they supply, install + maintain them for free.
Has anyone had solar panels installed? Have you noticed much difference in your electricity bills?
Its just a pity they look so ugly on the roof!

There are two options with these either you pay and get the money from the feedback to the grid or you get them free and get free electric during the day .The free option is a rent a roof schene with little in it for you and a 20 year conmitment .

Ahh so for someone like myself that works long hours I only get free electric during the day (daylight hours / when I'm at work/ so basically nothing) and Saliis get to keep pretty much all the income from using my roof. Sounds like a great deal!!

I don't think they look ugly at all!

my parents have them and make quite a bit from them (They paid for them rather than one of these free schemes) They generated 14kw yesterday and only used 3kw! Their electric bills are lower and also get nice cheques back from their electric company! I would have them if our roof was bigger. Not sure there would be much point in only getting 4 panels (my parents have 8 I think).
