Last year's P60

Hi all,
Anyone know why a mortgage provider would want last year's P60? I don't have one as I was unemployed at that time after taking voluntary redundancy. I have been in my current job since Jun 13 so it's not like I'm only recently employed (and was at previous employer for 13 yrs so I'm not a job hopper).

Some lenders just always want to see a p60, some to verify overtime, bonus or generally to confirm income.
You will fail some lenders criteria due to not being consecutively employed for 12 or 18 months depending on lender.
Did you go direct or through broker and which lender?I am a Mortgage Broker
