I'd like to know this also. I went for an eyesight test at Boots on Saturday and the sales assistant serving me told me about it also. They have a sign up next to the sunglasses too. I was going for normal glasses so didn't look at any but will do when go back to collect my glasses.
Can't remember how long she said it was running for but think it is for a while yet.0 -
On the website it does say in product description:
"Price shown is price of sunglasses with standard single vision scratch resistant lenses. However they are also available with non-prescription sun lenses for £70 off the marked price, just ask your local Boots Optician for details."
So basically you can get some boots branded non persciption sunglasses for about £9 which is about what they did last year.
Ray Bans being £199 with perscription lenses are therefore £129 non persciption, which I'm not sure is anything special.0 -

I am about to get contact lenses instead of my varifocal glasses. So DD just managed to get me a pair of these non prescription sunglasses for £20.00 down from £90.00. BTW assistant says you cannot take them back.0 -
I have just been for an eye test! If you buy prescription glasses, you can get prescription sunglasses for half price ( or any second pair of glasses), so this is a better deal for the more expensive pairs. If you sign up for the monthly contact lens deal, you can get any pair of prescription glasses, including sunglasses, for half price. You also get free check ups and 10% off all Boots stuff.
Hope this helps someone!0
