      1. The Draw shall run from 15 March 2014 to 27 April 2014 inclusive (the “Draw Period”). Entries received after 23.59 on 27th April will not be entered into the Draw and will be deleted.
    1. Eligibility and How to Enter
      1. To be eligible to enter the Draw, an entrant must (i) be aged 16 years or older; (ii) be entitled to permanently reside in the United Kingdom; and (iii) not fall under any of the exceptions set out at clause 2.4.
      2. Entry into the Draw by an eligible entrant must be made via the Website. An entry is made by entering your personal details as requested into the Website and clicking 'Submit'. Postal entries submitted to the University will not be entered into the Draw.
      3. Only one entry per individual is allowed. Any entry received from an individual not in compliance with these Terms will not be entered into the Draw and will be deleted. For the avoidance of doubt, multiple entries by a single entrant will be deleted.
      4. No employees, contractors or agents of the University or any other entity who are immediately connected with the administration of the Draw, and their immediate families and/or persons with whom they are domiciled, or any current student actively engaged in a course of study at the University are eligible to enter the Draw. For the avoidance of doubt, any individual registered as a student of the University but who is currently taking a break from their studies may enter the draw.
    2. Winner Selection
      1. The University will allocate each entrant with a number and an independent officer of the University will select a number at random to select one winner (the “Winner”).
      2. The Winner will be informed by the University on 12th May 2014. The name of the winner can be viewed at www.openuniversity.co.uk/winners as of this date. The Winner agrees to partake in any publicity requested by the University in relation to the Draw.
      3. The Winner must claim any Prize won within 30 days of the end of the Draw Period. If the Prize is not claimed within 30 days, the Winner will forfeit their Prize. If a Prize is forfeited, the University shall repeat the process set out in this clause 3 until a suitable Winner is selected.
      4. The University reserves the right to request further details from the Winner to confirm eligibility to enter the Draw before the Prize is awarded. The Winner will be required to meet the normal entry requirements of the University for the course of study selected. If an entrant is not eligible, the process in clause 3.1 will be repeated until an eligible Winner is selected.
    3. Prize
      1. The prize is for an individual to receive funding to study one qualification of their choice (with the exception of any country restrictions) at the University up to a value of £21,056 (the “Prize”). Any fees payable in excess of this maximum amount (including any excess caused by an increase by the University in the fees for a course of study) will be payable by the Winner.
      2. The Prize is for the funding of the qualification selected and therefore the Winner will not receive any cash directly from the University. The Winner must pay for all other costs related to their study at the University including, for example, all travel, accommodation, residential schools (if applicable) study materials and equipment costs. Any costs incurred by the Winner in either deferral fees or resit fees are payable by the Winner.
      3. There is no cash or other alternative available for the Prize. Only one Prize is available. The Prize is non-transferable.
      4. The Prize is applicable to a course of study commencing in the academic year 2014/2015 with course presentations starting October 2014, November 2014, February 2015, April 2015 and May 2015 only.
