1. The competition is open to all residents of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland who are over 18, excluding employees and their immediate families of Walkers Snacks Ltd (the “Promoter”), its affiliated companies, INITIALS Marketing Ltd., VCG Promorisk & AMV BBDO, their agents or other persons professionally connected with the competition.
2. By taking part in this competition all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these rules.
3. Purchase necessary in England, Scotland, Wales and Republic of Ireland. Simply purchase a 5 pack or 50g single serve pack of any Walkers Deep Ridged and enter the unique code online at www.deepridged.co.uk. On 5 pack multipacks there is only one code on the outer pack. On 50g single serve there is one code on the pack. One code equals one play. The unique code is found on the back of pack in the “best before” box. The code is 10 digits beginning with DR.
4. No purchase necessary in Northern Ireland. An entry code can be obtained by writing to Walkers Deep Ridged Promotion, PO Box 1079 Hemel Hempstead HP1 1GY with your postal address and requesting an entry code.
5. In the Republic of Ireland this promotion is being carried out under a lottery licence granted by the District Court of Dublin on the 20.11.13. The lottery licence is held by Simon Community, 1-2 Cope Street, Dublin 2. The purpose of this lottery is to raise funds to help prevent and address homelessness in Ireland.
6. To enter, insert the unique code found on the back of the pack into the online promotional website. Entrants will be required to enter an email address, full name and country before playing. This information will be used to confirm your identity in the running of the promotion. Your data will not be used for any other purposes without your permission.
7. The opening date for receipt of entries is 1st March 2014 and the closing date for receipt of entries is 31st August 2014.
8. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, altered or illegible entries. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed. No responsibility will be taken for technical, telecommunication or website error, proof of entry is not proof of receipt.
9. A maximum of 3 entries per person per day, from 3 separate pack purchases, are permitted.
10. No bulk, automated or bot entries, consumer group or third party entries will be accepted.
11. The Promoter reserves the right (subject to applicable law) to disqualify and/or ban any individual who tampers with or attempts to subvert or interfere with the Promotion entry or competition process.
12. If for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion) the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or alter the Promotion in its sole discretion.
13. There are 7 levels of prizes available to win (except for ROI which includes 6 stages due to legal reasons). Upon playing, the player has a 1 in 2 chance of winning a voucher for a free pack of 50g single serve or 50p off a 5 pack of Deep Ridged crisps. If the player wins at the first stage they can choose to accept the prize or play again for the chance to win £5. If the player wins the next stage prize, then the same choice and scenario occurs at each prize level. If the player elects to play again then fails to be successful all previous prizes offered are forfeit. Prizes cannot be won cumulatively. See clause 14 for chances of winning if a player chooses to play on at every stage.
14. The prizes to be won are as per the below. Prize value for ROI is limited to a maximum € equivalent of £5000 for legal reasons.
    
    (1st stage) 50% chance to win a free pack of 50g single serve Deep Ridged or 50p off 5 pack of Deep Ridged OR gamble with a 20% chance to win:
    (2nd stage) £5 prize OR gamble with a 20% chance to win:
    (3rd stage) £25 prize OR gamble with a 20% chance to win:
    (4th stage) £100 prize OR gamble with a 20% chance to win:
    (5th stage) £500 prize OR gamble with a 20% chance to win:
    (6th stage) £5,000 prize OR gamble with a 10% chance to win:
    (Final stage) £50,000 prize [ROI residents excluded]
15. The prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and (where applicable) cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. The decisions of the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. The free crisp / 50p off vouchers will be redeemable via downloadable coupons and the cash prizes of £5, £20 and £100 will be by cheque in the name of the registered entrant and delivered to their’ designated addresses by post by no later than 30 days after the winning notification. Cash prizes of £500, £5,000 or £50,000 (excluding ROI) must be verified in accordance with clause 17 and their prize will be sent by cheque in the name of the registered entrant to their designated address via Royal Mail signed for service within 30 days of receipt of validation of their winning pack.
17. The winners who win cash prizes of £500, £5,000 or £50,000 will be informed by a screen notification immediately after entry, requesting they send their pack by registered post to Go Big or Go Home, Freepost RLUK-AHUU-KKEK, PO Box 1079, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1GY for validation. Cash prizes of £500, £5,000 or £50,000 must be claimed by 30th November, 2014. All reasonable effort will be made to contact winners; however, if the prizes are not claimed by 30th November, 2014 they will forfeit their prize.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to provide alternative prizes of equal or greater value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
19. Winners may be required to take part in related publicity.
20. The names and counties of the winners will be available between 1st December 2014 and 1st January 2015 by writing to Walkers Deep Ridged Promotion Winner’s List, PO Box 1079, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1GY with your postal address and requesting a winner’s list.
21. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely for the purposes of this promotion by the Promoter and/or by INITIALS Marketing Ltd on behalf of the Promoter and will not be disclosed to a third party for any other purpose without the individual’s prior consent. By entering this competition, you consent to the use of your personal data by the Promoter and/or INITIALS Marketing Ltd. on behalf of the Promoter for the purposes of administration of the competition (including publishing your full name and county and/or disclosing it to third parties on request if you are the winner) and any other purposes to which you have consented.

My codes begin with "GBB" not "DR" and are only 9 digits, so they are not being accepted

Just to let everyone know it is a competition for Walkers Deep Ridged crisps I found a DR code on the outside of a 5 pack Mulitpack in the best before box.

This only works with special promotional packs - the GBL code is on standard packs so won't work.

I wonder why they have started putting codes on the outside of packs as there is nothing to stop people just writing down the code and going home and playing. They only ask you to send the pack in if you win £500 or more, according to the rules...
