When our local Asda 24hr opened a few years ago, it was exactly the same. Bread and milk were often out of stock. It took a while for them to coordinate delivery to demands. It will probably take a few weeks before they get it right. Nice to know they learn nothing from previous new stores that opened!0

I don't think it's a new store. I'm sure it was there when we went to Norwich a couple of years ago.0 -
AaahhH yes .... I would say that the manager from our Co-Op has moved! :j
Only thing is .... he's STILL here and by lunch-time Saturday the shop looks like it's been ram-raided! :rotfl:0 -
Stock control - or the lack of it - is ASDA's Achilles heel. My "spy" tells me that what they receive usually bears no relationship to what they ordered.
I regularly can't find items - sometimes own-brand basics - and have to resort to Plan B, ie. Tesco. And, if items are unavailable for too long, I don't bother to look for them in ASDA any more.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

Abysmal stock control is the main reason I gave up on Asda. I got fed up of having to go elsewhere for their OOS items. These days I get most of my shopping from Aldi and then across the road to Sainsbury's for the odd items Aldi doesn't sell. Much less frustrating! You'd think that after all these years Asda would have learned to get it right!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

iv noticed co-op have very little stock in and asked why in my local store and was told they are trying to reduce waste so only order small amounts?
not sure how true it is but makes sence as of late reductions as thin on the ground in co-op and they used to be plentyfull0
