You know some days you just think s*d it? Well I did but didnt!! Got a soup book but am going to pinch 2 recipes and then use it as a stocking filler for mum!! hehe bad I am eh! Didnt doo too badly but had to spend 20 for turtle stuff - 10 for a light & then a big thing of food. She needs cleaning too so may do that later! Got a few pressies in Wilkinsons - a little someting for the boys I babysit for and two lovely books fr my godchildren - one for ballet for the 3 yrs old as she LOVEs ballet & card making for her sister...was a bit naughty with that as wasnt going to spend more than 10 each but have!! Theyre wirth it and I know they'll love them! Plus got alot of stuff for mums stocking and some cleaning stuff for me...got stuff for turkish delight which I'll make later and that was it. Forgot I'd made flapjacks last week so had one when I gt home with yummy tea! I do so appreciate the simple things in life now! Also decided NOT to take my CC, despite the cashback as thats how I got into this mess in the first place so card left at home & I felt better for it! I will put my car tax on though as by the time it goes through should hit the jan bill s I get almost 2 montsh free IYKWIM & then I'll put a year on it!
Bizarre about his guy who pretended to be dead. How awful for their kids and just seemingly for money...sorry to hear that business slow taxi, did think of you when I see them!! Hypno with anything skiing, pana with horses & chocolate orange and sea with crafty bits for some reason! Morning! Turkish delight was something of an interesting experiment & am hoping the 2nd batch is more of a sucess; may try the easier version as mine was VERY gloopy! WIll update later! Plan for today is clean the turtle (couldnt be arsed last night!), Tesco for bits & ikea for some boxes & a few stocking bits (stockings cost more than present!) for mum! Cranford tonight which I love & still on call! A few ciggies have slipped in so also need to get some nicoteine lozenges as refuse to go backwards plus fags are SO expensive! Great news is that I have now had appointments for phisio & podiatrist. I had pains in my feet for some time (ball of heel) so wrote ages ago & meanwhie discovered from running friend that I may need orthotics (like wedges) as this is probably why my hip hurts when I run as I am wonky! Getting it done privately costs an absolute bomb (hundreds, if not thousands) as they do gait analysis, lots of measurements etc so was worried about ths & couldnt aford to pay privately so absolotuely delughted to get a ltter saying ring for a biomedics (I think!) analysis!! I do so love the words FREE!! Not explained that well have I! suffice to say I'll get something that could have cost a bomb on the NHS and I can stop worrying now!
Hope you're all ok with the stress of Christmas...I feel I'm starting to chill a bit & the two days I took off to catch up has made a difference & the st johns wort has kicked in! Next year will start taking in late Aug as i think its the nights drawing in that do it & I always struggle to cope...advance planning for next year to avoid it! I hate that feeling of despair..I always know what it is but it doesent help when you're in the pit!
Blue skies here now but thunder & lightening first thing!

evening all! Well batch 1 of turkish delight ended up in the bin & I'll try the easier version if I vere manage to get rose water! The one i had was v. weak & tastless...on the hunt tomorrow! Shopped and nearly dropped today and for the first time ever didnt use overdraft or CC! Bloody incredible & I realised this half way round asda...so treated myself to some pj's!! Got the vast majority & off to town for the rest tomorrow! Mum back from Nepal but been ill and in hospital on a drip as had S&D bug for 10 days. Now at her very good & old friends being well cared for but poor love sounded rotten...for those who belive in the man up there please say one...
Distasters with making pressies as tried a ginger cofenctionary which I tried twice, in jam pan & the pan is burned to smithareens...wil take more hours of scrubbing! Plan b is chocolate fudge with crystalised ginger in it!! DId manage to get some boxes from ikea (cd ones!) for the turkish delight! Perfect size and really chuffed generally with pressies! Of to watch cranford!! Hope you all had a great day! Will catch up later but right now my wine & I need to focus! WHo will die this week I wonder! Doesn anyone listen to wogan? No balls running under my bed - too much [EMAIL="!!!!"]!!!![/EMAIL] & Ikea boxes with sheets in for that! YOu never know I may get lucky & fins a good looking man under there amongst the cat hair one day!!!!

well no good looking man located under the bed! Had a good day off today & got the stuff I need for making turkish delight plus the majority of my presents. Next batch of turkish delight cat be made as still scrubbing the pan of burn! Wrapped pressies and now just need to get tree, do food shopping etc. Works Christmas meal on Friday & resisted getting a new dress but will squeeze into skirt & top I have! Trying to be good this week in the hope of looing a couple of ibs this week! Arranged to go to my cousins on the pressie swap on Sunday & drop my sisters off! We'll have a yummy breakfast at her mates posh cafe and have pancakes, bacon & syrup - my fave!! Debtbusting has been dire and need to stop spending now! Hope you're all faring better!

ta taxi - it was gorgeous though! bad news in that work are not now paying our backdated pay this month which wil eave me short until Jan when I'l be able to pay loads off. No major deal but v. annoying & will mean a v. lean month...crap day in work so just going to chill. hugs all!
