These terms and conditions (the "Twitter Rules") shall apply to the Twitter competition being conducted by Absolute Radio (t/a Absolute Radio Radio Limited) between 17 February 2014 and 21 February 2014 ("Competition"). Absolute Radio's standard competition rules (available from here) (the "AR Rules") shall be incorporated into the Twitter Rules (and adapted as necessary to take account of entry via Twitter) other than where they specifically conflict with the Twitter Rules in which case, the Twitter Rules shall take precedence. Any failure to adhere to any rules or laws applicable to the Competition shall make any relevant entry invalid and the relevant competition entrant ineligible to win any prize. You must be over 18 years of age and resident in the UK to enter the Competition.
You must comply with all rules regarding the use of Twitter including (but not limited to) any rules relating to the entry of competitions on Twitter.
You may only use one Twitter account to enter the Competition.
Each tweet may only contain one entry.
To constitute a valid entry (subject to otherwise complying with all other rules relating to the Competition), tweets must include "#nowplaying" followed by an artist that Absolute Radio has played during the previous 10 minutes before the tweet, and "@absoluteradio". For the avoidance of doubt, re-tweets of other users' tweets will not be deemed a valid entry. Tweets must be tweeted between 17 February 2014 (GMT) and 21 February 2014 (GMT) between the hours of 10:00 (GMT) and 17:00 (GMT) to be eligible for entry.
You may only tweet one entry for each separate song played by Absolute Radio.
Winners will be chosen at random from valid entries received by Absolute Radio. A winner will be drawn every hour between 10:00 and 17:00 between 17 February 2014 and 21 February 2014 with only entries tweeted during the previous hour eligible for each specific hourly draw. The competition starts at 10:00 and runs for 7 hours until 17:00, with the first draw taking place at 11:00.
Winners will be contacted via direct message at which point, they will be notified of identification requirements (amongst other things). Please ensure you are following Absolute Radio in order for us to be able to contact you and gather your personal information. Where Absolute Radio has not received confirmation of receipt of communication from a winner within 2 hours of notification by Absolute Radio, we will redraw a winner with those entries valid for the original draw eligible.
Subject to the AR Rules, the prize for each winner is £250 cash which will be delivered in the form of a cheque within 28 days of the competition date.

Is anyone intending to post some answers here? Even if I listened to this station I probably wouldn't know what 95% of the songs were (let alone who the 'artist' is). Old fogey, me

Ah, so their website says at the top what's playing and by whom. Looks like you have to refresh it, though. That's still very handy.

Can anyone see how / where Absolute Radio will announce the hourly winners / or maintain a list of winners ?
If the only communication is by direct message on twitter we shall be none the wiser as to who wins each hour.

you can also open a pop up radio player on your PC where it will show the name of song and artist in real time http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/freebies/competitions/ipad/index.html

There is also an app called shazam which you can download and it tells you the name and song of what is playing.
