How about some Tinto de verano 'Red summer wine' Easiest way is combine a cheap red wine with lemonade, add a dad of dark martini and pour over ice. Can be made up in old plastic litre bottles and kept in the fridge. If you want a more upmarket version to go in fancy jugs or a punch bowl, there's Sangria of course
    WHITE SANGRIA (anaemic sangria)
    Ingredients
    sliced orange
    sliced lemon
Juice of 1 orange or some breakfast orange juice
    bottle dry white wine
Sugar to taste - about 4 tablespoons
Good slug of brandy or cointreau

    METHOD
Place sliced fruit in large jug, Add wine, brandy and ice cubes, Stir, serve and enjoy

    SANGRIA

Bottle or box of red wine
    Dash of brandy - optional
    Cinnamon stick - optional
4 tablespoons of sugar - optional
Mixture of sliced fruits e.g. apple, pear, orange, banana, peach, whatever you've got
Lemonade or soda water to dilute if required

    METHOD
Place everything in large jug, stir in ice cubes, pour and enjoy

    non Alchoholic punch
cold tea (I use earl grey) diluted with water, soda water or lemonade
    Sugar to taste
    Lemon juice
    Sliced lemons
    Ice
Method , combine in jug, or bowl

    More expensive recipe
    FRESAS DE CAVA
    Ingredients
Fresh strawberries (sliced, mashed or liquidised)
Bottle of cava, champagne or sparkling wine (pink versions are nice if you can get them)
Small box of cranberry juice (optional)

    METHOD
Mix cranberry juice and strawberries together in large glass jug, refrigerate until needed
    Pour in cava
Serve in beautiful champagne glasses at dusk with further fresh whole strawberries and some delicious plain dark chocolates - who could resist this!
