If he only owes you a few hundred you should forget it and walk right away. My ex nearly made me bankrupt and I am still paying for it now. He also had severe depression but is fine for money now whereas I am having to pay it all back.0

Nothing deposited into my account for the month of July and no contact since the last message posted in here. Even a token payment would have been good if there are major struggles but as I've had no contact either way so I'm not sure of current situation.

I can conclude this diary now as last night I got an unexpected phone call and the ex transfered the full amount outstanding into my bank account.
I have no idea where the money came from, all I know is that the £5k has now been paid in full.
I just want to say thanks - didn't get a chance last night out of shock as I was caught completely by surprise.
I suppose this now concludes all correspondence between the pair of us which in a way is sad but it gives us both the opportunity to move on with our lives.
