How do I get a new p45 as the one given 5 years ago has been lost ( I have been at home with kids)

Hiya!
I was in same boat as I just got a temp job for few days - but agency didn't ask for P45, just gave me a P46 to fill in! Was straightforward - just need your details and NI no basically. Just ask your employer for one or maybe the jobcentre will have one for you to complete.

A five-year-old P45 is of no use to you now in any case.0

Little voice is right - P45s have to be recent.
When you start a new job your employer will give you a P46 to complete. they will work out your tax situation from that.0
