'video' camera wanted for technophobe!

Hi,

slightly misleading title but i am trying to buy a digital/video camera for my 68 year old mum so that she can record all her grandchildren etc.

she is not quite a technophobe but i would imagine anything too complex would be beyond her. What would have been ideal would have been an old style video camera where she could could take the film and then immediately watch that on her video player.

she has a dvd player - ( i bought it for her for xmas but dont think she has used it yet) so it is a possibility to use that in some way.

but has anybody could something cheap and simple (and lightweight! ) they could recommend?

thanks
