Clippy's final push to debt free

Hi all! :wave::hello:

I am completing on my new mortgage this week (if my solicitor pulls their finger out!) which is a much better deal but has resulted in me having to pay out quite a bit and borrowing money from the bank of mum and dad to clear my cc :(

My total debt as of today is £3500 to mum and dad and £250 on my credit card  My debt goes up and down as whenever it is nearly cleared I book a holiday :o I can afford the holidays I go on but need to save first rather than going then paying for it! :rotfl:

My main current account has enough in to cover the bills/spending until payday and the debt account has the £2k I need to send to the solicitor next week.

Budget wise I have shopped around for bills etc... and I give myself a weekly spend allowance of £40 for entertainment. I live off my salary and with my new mortgage my balance sheet shows left over of £189! I will need to sort out accident and sickness cover as this will be cancelled when i complete on current mortgage which will be around £30 I think. Unfortunately I am at risk of redundancy so cannot get redundancy cover _pale_ Will be getting this if I keep my job after next lot of cuts (next Xmas).

I have a lodger and do mystery shopping, ebay etc to bring in extra. I get £340 rent, should have £160 left of salary and will aim for £150 extra income each month (should average out at this). All this money goes into my 'debt' current account and then is paid off debts from here to keep it separate.

The credit card will be cleared soon with all incoming money going towards it and will use rent money on 20th if not cleared by then. Dad only wants one repayment per month so I will let the money build up in debt account until last day of month and then transfer to him.

I would really like to clear this by 30 April 2014! Not sure if this is doable though but will try! :A

So I have joined Debt Destruction December and the above is one of the challenges. I have had a think and the following are my goals-

    1. Weight- Loose 17lb. To be achieved by Valentines Day :happyhear Approx 1.5lb per week.

    2. Relationship- Aim to try and find perfect partner by end of year :kisses3: Obv this might not happen but I need to put some serious effort into it to increase chance. Will be joining E Harmony

    3. Socialising- Aim to go out to at least one socal event per fortnight even if just for midweek soft drink  This will either be with friends or with the socialising group I am a member of.

    4. Money- End 2014 with a balance of £0 :rotfl: Yes thats right! Plans are to get debt free, save up in full and go to India in Oct, redecorate bedroom (£1000 budget to include getting new window) and get a new fridge freezer which is bigger and matches my kitchen (budget £400). If I can do all that I will be happy but obv if I do manage to start to save that would be great! :A

Will have a ponder about goal 5

so mortgage finally completed yesterday after yet another drama  mortgage acc has now shown up on ybs manager but need to click to get balance (just as well- would be depressing to look and see balance go up eveyday!)

switched my current acc to halifax last night. went for the £5 reward acc and £100 switching :) will wait for the inevitable probems to occur :(

still no final bill from coop energy despite switching 4 months ago  rang last night, they will chase it

xmas tree is up, lost two legs though  only two were in box. need to go in loft and investigate. currently it is a box weighted with flour! cat has not shown interest yet- going to hang a few baubles on and see if they are still there when i get home! :rotfl:

sold the wii for £50 and got £45 for my vouchers :j already paid wii money in, will do vouch money today.

    plans for today-
    • pop to new aldi's and get essentials- only about £5 in food purse left :(
    • go to city and collect two parcels and do 3 mystery shop- must be mad- these are the last ones in shops of the year on a saturday i will do!
    • finish decorating tree if is still standing when i get back
    • consider going to the gym (no promises :rotfl:)
    • do 3 edig surveys :)
    • consider typing up mystery shops!

hmmm so was a bit of an epic fail yest :(

tree is broken as two legs are missing and diy attempts did not work :( going to get a new one from argos for £19.99. its a bigger one and looks much bushier and expensive than existing one :) current tree lights are really long so should be enough but might need more baubbles- will decorate and see. one set of my small lights that i put on mirror are broken and seen some nice replacement ones for £9 in argos but oos where im getting the tree. will look in mr m and matalan. i was given the tree, lights and decs for free so cant complain too much at needing replacements!

didnt go to aldis as did brutal essential only list and only needed 3 things. got two in mr t yest and will get last in mr m today.

didnt do any surveys or type up ms!

couldnt do tree as it was broke!

did consider gym but didnt go!

    big list today-
    • buy tree and decorate
    • buy stirfry veg bag
    • buy sheet of pink metalic card in hobbycraft if they have it to make gifttags to go with ribbon and paper i already have.
    • type up three ms
    • do at least 4 surveys
    • clean living room window
    • hoover everywhere
    • shred some paperwork
    • look at card holders in mr m to hand cards from- mr cat will knock them all off wherever i put them!
    • reprogramme timer on boiler for heater.

oooh just looked at mortgage online and there is a function for me to make online overpayments :j means i can make lots of little ones as interest charged daily. according to wtc its £10.80 interest per day.

also went in bank yest and they have confirmed date and amount if 1st mortgage payment and its what i thought :) also should get my £200 cashback by thursday :j i think i should have £100 from halifax by then as well so should be able to clear cc next week :T should therefore be able to minimum £400 to dad on 31st :j

so no £100 from halifax yet :( will wait until switch day on wed and then chase it

have got my £200 mortgage cashback, just need to dig card reader out to transfer it!

had afternoon off and have wasted it lounging around :o but nice not to do anything! going to go po in a minute to return online survey parcels (good job i have been lazy as another 2 just arrived a few minutes ago!)

have just totted up and have made a total of £364 extra this month which includes £222 from mystery shopping :money::beer: wont get most of it til jan though but can get paid to dad then :A

got work xmas meal tonight. have paid for it so just need taxi and drinks. not going to drink much though! going to have a nice bath once i am back from po (its only at top of next road) then do the following before i go-

ring up coop energy as STILL not got final bill
    do dishes
    tidy up
    do nails
attempt to curl hair using ghds following utube videos. i may be some time... :rotfl:
