Sending lots of warm thoughts and hugs to Mad's family and to everyone else on here.
Sweet dreams all and you too Mad.

Mad, we all miss you on this thread,
Anyone can see, from what's been said.
You were funny, caring, and such a gent,
And made us feel, what the ELITE meant.
Never forgotten, you'll make us strong,
And look down upon our happy throng,
We will remember you with a tear,
To openly cry without any fear.
We are proud to have known you Mad,
Though this day has left us sad,
You are flying high above us all,
Amongst the angels for ever more.Friendship Is Magic.0 -
Haven't been on since last night, so thought I would just catch up quickly.
Got to Thrifty Sisters post from 10.31 this morning and BANG, the sad news
. Only just caught up, reading all the messages.
Now, I don't normally get involved in the softer side of the Elite thread, but there no-one that can't be moved by the outpouring of love and respect for dear Mad today, RIP :A
While I didn't 'know' him well, I did find his wry humour amusing, and even at the end, his recent posts about 'free grub' in hospital made me laugh ! A true gentleman to the end, respected by so many, as shown by all the names appearing today that have not posted in so long.
Then I got to this post, and tears started to roll:scamps1966 wrote: »Is it wrong for a bloke to start welling up over a bloke he's never met?
Reading back on all the comments that peeps have said for Mad have left me so touched. He was a good and decent man who had time for anyone. Missed, yes. Missing, no. Always with us. Long live the Elite.
There are clearly many of us who have been touched - no, battered, bruised and dented - by the big C in some way, losing at least one person dear to us.
So let us all enjoy this thread, in Mads memory, without bickering, in the true spirit of Mad and the Elite  .
My sympathy to his family and friends at this difficult time, but take heart from the thought that Mad has probably already wombled some angels wings, and glitched a seat right near the Big Guy.0 -
Sorry I didn't make it back for 9pm chaps.
Raising my glass of OJ to Mad and all of the elite today. Bloody good show.
