Sorry I'm no tech expert and I don't own any kindle, I just saw the deal and thought I'd share.

The main difference will be "Mayday" the online help, plus it has a faster processor and better display.

There's £100 price difference between the two so if I was wanting a kindle fire I'd definitely pick the older one.

Bought one of these back when they were the 'current generation' for £170ish, can thoroughly recommend them for both reading and browsing the web. Especially for 99 quid, bargain!

Just ordered. I think this 'previous generation' one is better as it has a camera where as the new Fire HD doesn't. I suppose they want everybody buying the more expensive HDX.
