I've done this a few times now and only once got refused. This one works okay .. just remember the change the magazine to your area.

I usually cancel the direct debit through my online bank after the first edition and still get the rest, but if you're unsure, cancel in the new year and be guaranteed the xmas and new year editions.

This was posted by masha on HUKD a couple of days ago, and here (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4820805) too.

People are starting to get confirmations, so it's looking good. :)

anyone know how i can contact somebody high up in great magazines?? they are messing me around. I am going away and trying to cancel my subs but they say they NEVER cancel if an amount has gone through. Beware great magazines they are rude and refuse to help at all.

Do you mean that the have already taken the money for your next subscription but you want to candel that week because you are away?

You can always cancel your direct debit with the bank. The small print says you can cancel at any time.
