The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is working on a project about debt management services - where companies support individuals to organise paying off their debts to creditors, whether it was for a fee or free.

It has asked research company ESRO to carry out some interviews to better understand the experiences of consumers who have used these services .

If you’re happy to take part in the research (or would like more info) and you fit the following situation:

• You've personally used a debt management service within the past 6 - 12 months
• You've been offered a debt management plan (DMP) or individual voluntary agreement (IVA) by a debt management service
• You live within the UK (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland)

please email financialresearch@esro.co.uk with brief details and a phone number to get in touch.

Individuals that are chosen will be offered £100 as a thank you.

All of your information will remain confidential and anonymous.

ESRO abide by all Market Research Society (MRS) ethical standards.

Hi there, My name is Becky and I'm a researcher at ESRO. I'm really sorry you haven't been replied to - we are replying to everyone who contacts us (although can't guarantee that we will interview you as we have specific sample quotas to fill). We have already interviewed a number of people who have contacted us via MSE (indeed some happening as we speak).

I've just looked through our emails and I have no record of any emails from the 16th - so please send your email again and we'll get back to you.

Sorry again that you have been inconvenienced.
    All the best,
    Becky
  • We're still looking for people - particularly anyone from Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales - so do get in touch if you would like to participate.
    Many thanks
    Becky
