I'm in Newport (South Wales) and the rain has been terrible today! It'd be nice for a while, then hammer down. Just glad, if we do get these bad winds, that it's half term here!

I am a Cornwall girl so apparently it is meant to be bad down here so have thankfully been let out of work early so that I can get home before 12am when it is going to start it is windy but nothing too bad yet and at least the rain has pretty much stopped I even managed to get the dog out for a walk

Friend in Dorset has used the limited battery on her laptop to let everyone know she's okay, but her power went out at 4.30am.
