Could not find this posted anywhere.

Staples are doing a great offer.

Get £2 per old HP ink cartridge off a purchase of a new HP ink cartridge.

You can use a maximum of 5 per purchase so that is £10 off.

I am fed up with sending them to Tesco and not getting the club card points so I went to staples today and got 2 HP350 and instead of costing me £12.50 they cost me £2.50 each.

H, can't find any details on their web site, does it have to be the same HP ink cartridge, ie a 301 trade in for a 301?

Unfortunately Staples prices are more than £2 greater than I normally pay for my cartridges

Maybe but I had 10 empty cartridges so used 5 against each cartridge getting £10 off each one bringing the cost down to only £2.50 each.

I could not buy them at that price anywhere.

I find you can sell any old cartridges on ebay - even ones that have previously been refilled.

not all cartridges are eligible for the Clubcard points. Best to check the list at http://www.therecyclingfactory.com/tesco/ before sending them.

I have set up an account and send all my used cartridges to the recycling factory for cash, unless they are not on the list here
http://www.therecyclingfactory.com/sell-ink-cartridges. For some strange reason, the lists are not the same, so if I can't get cash for them, and they are on the Tesco list, I send them for Clubcard points. If they are not on either list, I put them in a collection box in a charity shop.

    Hi FloFlo

have you checked your account to see whether you have anything credited? They only pay out when you've reached £50, which is a bit of a disadvantage, but I've always seen the right amount on my account after sending cartridges to them and eventually reached the £50 mark, now starting to accumulate towards the next one. I usually only send 3 or 4 at a time in case they go missing.

I checked the list, sent my 3 qualifying cartridges and only got points for 1, will ever use tesco again.....I get more selling them on ebay.
  • Just been into Staples UK today to buy some HP ink, usually I buy online but desperately needed some today.

I had heard from a friend that I was able to get some money off with my old ink so I took them along.

To my amazement the deal seamed way to good to be true.

Apparently at the moment their recycling offer on HP ink has been increased, I was able to get £10 off my ink for trading in 5 of my old HP inks!

The full offer is as follows:
Trade in 2 HP inks and get £3 off
Trade in 3 HP inks and get £6 off
Trade in 4 HP inks and get £8 off
Trade in 5 HP inks and get £10 off

The only terms seam to be that I was only able to buy a maximum of 5 units per day and I was also told I could not go to another store in the same day to get another 5. Apart from that there is nothing else to it.

    Go Staples! :j

Did they do something wrong or has anyone else noticed this?
