I do a very simple and quick pulled pork, A pork shoulder joint de-rinded. I jar of the cheapest sweet and sour sauce and 1/3 of a jar of chipolte BBQ sauce.

Mix the sauces together in the slow cooker, and then add the pork making sure it's covered in sauce and cook on low for 8-10 hours.

I have to hide the leftovers.

I keep meaning to try this in the slow-cooker, what sort of weight of pork shoulder do you buy usually?

Hi, I usually get a boneless chunk from A£Da I think it's about 1.1kg for £4.50 although it it sometimes on offer for £4. makes plenty for my greedy lot ( 4or us ) plus good leftovers or the odd fast dinner or two from the freezer.

    It's flippin yum cold too.

Thanks everyone for replies, think I will go with pulled pork with BBQ sauce <snip>

    BARBEQUE SAUCE

    Makes ~120ml

    INGREDIENTS

    2 tablespoons of butter
    1 tablespoon of sugar
    2 tablespoons of brown sauce
2 drops of Tabasco chilli pepper sauce
    3 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
    1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

    METHOD

Put the butter and sugar into a saucepan on a low heat. Melt the butter and sugar. Stir frequently to stop it sticking.

Remove the pan from the heat.

Add all of the other ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

    TIPS

This will keep in the fridge for 48 hours.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

they are men - sausage and mash with onion gravy! or curry and rice and chips! or as its known in south wales Curry and half and half! Faggots and peas go down well!
I used to do the after match meals for the local rugby team and the above were the three most popular meals! for about 80 people!
