MySupermarket + Aldi

I just read that MySupermarket is going to start showing comparisons with Aldi alongside the other supermarkets:T

Need to go have a look for myself!

Just had email about it.

But they don't seem to have all Aldi products listed. For example the 30pk Snackrite crisps.

They don't have all ASDA, Tesco, etc products listed either. (There's a lot of products out there.)

The only reason that MySupermarket have not previously listed Aldi prices, is because Aldi wouldn't provide the data.

Presumably they have now agreed to do so. So we can now all find out that sugar is 96p a kilo in Aldi, but 88p in ASDA, and 99p everywhere else.

Well that's what mySupermarket says. I have no idea of whether or not it's right. For example, if you look under 'Savvy Buys' for Aldi, you'll find Nescafe Gold Blend 200g listed at 89p, compared to £5.00 at most other supermarkets, and I'm not quite convinced that one's right.

I'm more skeptical because the "big 4" sell Walkers 20 pack for £4odd. They don't want you to know that you can get 30 pack Snackrite for £2.69 at Aldi. Which are on par with Walkers.

I have found Mysupermarket data to be accurate for organic food. For example ASDA is the cheapest place for organic Weetabix, and the most expensive for Heinz Classics organic cream of tomato soup.

I tried using it last night but found a lot of the aldi products i buy, which are normal every day items had no comparisons at any of the other supermarkets so found it a bit of a waste of time to be honest!
