Two DCA's for one debt??

I've received a letter today from a DCA called Power2Contact stating that they have been 'instructed by our client' to contact me about payment of a debt with Barclays Bank, saying I have ignored all attempts by Barclays to remedy this. Thing is, I already have a repayment arrangement with another DCA (Credit Solutions Ltd) for this debt and I'm up to date with the payments, albeit £1 pcm at the mo.
I contacted CSL who said that my arrangement with them still stands and to ignore any contact from P2C.
P2C, on the other hand, insist that they are the only company instructed to administer the debt and they will be visiting me!
I'm not overly concerned as I have written acceptance of the arrangement from CSL.
Is it the norm for creditors to ask multiple DCAs to collect for them? If not, then what's going on?
So confused lately

Why not ask Barclays which one you should deal with?
Sounds unusual for them both to claim they're the one instructed. What will your verse be?

That's what I thought. I've been dealing with CSL all this time and suddenly a new DCA comes up. Think I'll stick with them unless Barclays tell me different.SPC2013 #2812

They are the same people, well they are companies within the same group along with Cougar.
P2C I think do (or more likely threaten) home visits.
You might want to send P2C the template letter to revoke their right to visit you at home.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

£1 per month is a pretty rubbish strategy unless it's a short term thing and there's something else in the pipeline.
I saw your posts on the bankruptcy board earlier this year and you seemed suited to a Debt Relief Order. No developments on that?0 -

It's actually a fairly reasonable strategy, given my current circumstances, as suggested by my debt counsellor. And yes, it is for the short term.
Which way I go depends on the job situation i.e. surplus income. I won't bore you with the details.SPC2013 #2812

P2C also do some work for RBS and they may well turn up, depending where you live. I have had a card from them once, not in obviously!:beer:0
