Have a lucky day everyone, hopefully Friday will be good to you, fingers crossed it often is for me. My VT squadron is busy yumming up my flies so that's all good :)

Got to buy another sack of chicken food this afternoon - little blighters eating me out of house and home at the moment and only getting one egg a day! Ho hum.

Won a lovely goody bag and a few other bits this month so something to look forward to in the post, methinks that is always nice.

I have so many books I could set up a book shop LOL even though I keep giving loads away so good C presents methinks!

Used to give a big compy hamper to SIL and MIL each year but they got angry last year and nearly fell out with hubby and me as they gave us a lecture that they hate receiving comp wins as no thought or effort has gone into the prize :O. Needless to say, they are getting one single small gift each this year and lump it. I was very cross and so was hubby. Probably more effort and thought goes into comping gifts than any other, I'd say! It's quite bizarre as each hamper was probably at least a RRP of 350 but hey ho. No understanding some people.

It's such bleak nasty weather and I am really hoping it's not going to be another horrible wet winter. I don't mind the cold but hate all the torrential weather we had last year, not good for my house and certainly not good for my hens or their coop. Got to seal and paint it all before it sets in properly.

Have a lucky day, everyone xxx

What a shame they didn't appreciate your present softpad. It sounds lovely to me. I hate the idea that peeps want you to spend a lot on them. My mother is like that. I always tell my kids just to get me a little thing especially DD who is still at school. They won't listen and my sisters spend a lot on my parents and if I don't they look disappointed - wouldn't mind but they never like what I buy anyway. Won dad a £700 fishing rod one year though and he wanted that and a pair of Dunlop Wellies the next. DD doesn't really appreciate all the prizes I give her either so we probably can't win. Good Luck with it anyway.

Good afternoon, wet and nasty here today.

Hope you manage to get your washing dry Sheils.

Softpad, I can never understand why peeps are not grateful when you give them prizes for birthday/Christmas presents. After all we spend many hours earning them. I recommend that you go to the £1 shop next time. Most of my family love prizes for presents as the value is always more than we can afford to get them.
